Being mom to a child with several food sensitivities identifies me with a new world, one of caution and education. I never knew reading labels and ingredients could become second nature, who knew that artificial colors and additives could create time bombs, that wheat and dairy could turn a child into a tantrum whirlwind...learn about our journey into the new world of food sensitivities and what they mean. THIS WAS ONLY THE BEGINNING!

Which way is up today?
In one word, REGRESSION. This is one scary word for those of us on this healing journey. I try to remain focused on the progress rather than the dips, but sometimes sheer exhaustion takes it's toll and we get stuck in a rut. I can't tell this time if the colds have set us back or if they were already in a regressive pattern that was catapulted forward when the illness hit. We have bloating, night bed wetting, regressed potty training (in Gavin), sound sensitivities, boys not getting along AT ALL, sleep problems, anger, impatience, low frustration threshold and lots and lots of tears....if it's not one child, it's the other. Plus, both have had teeth come through in the same few days. Ironically, it was the same tooth too, well a molar for one and a wisdom tooth for the other, but in the same location, lol. They have been hit hard between illness, teething, and possibly an oxalate dump all at the same time, I guess one would expect a little bit of regression. Ok, I've officially talked myself out of the dumps! Onward, tomorrow is a new day.
